Zeitungen in Pfützen, Kaputtes Möbilliar, verwaistes Kochgeschirr usw. Do or Dice nächstes Jahr!

Cheers!

Finally something to tell! After just existing for about a week and a half we have something to tell and we can breathe some Life into this dry husk of a Blogpage. We Friesenhammers were busy travelling around in East Frisia and in Europe. We had an active role in the Oldenburger Gaming Days. We presented our dungeon in the main hall which created some Ah’s and Oh’s from the spectators but noone was brave enough to start playing until one brave Lad came, chose a hero and started rolling the dice. He was the saviour who freed the basement from all the scum and vermin lurking around in the corners. We used the Dungeon Scum rules from Nordic Weasel Games to play the dungeon. You may have to throw the dice more times than you are used to but the fun compensates you for it. The rest of the main hall was filled with demos and boardgames. There were three tournaments scheduled for this weekend, but as it is with tournament players, if you want to win, you have to work hard if you want to have fun you should walk around and talk and party hard. The Highlight was the WW1 game: Saving Private Willie McBride! It was eye candy. The longer you watched, the more details you found, be it newspaper parts in puddles of water, broken furniture or cooking pots left to rot and so on. It was fun and I hope we’ll meet at the Do or Dice next Year!

The next date I want to mention, just because I want to be thorough, is the Crisis in Antwerp. It’s one of the big Conventions in Europe. It was crowded, it was loud it was more than 300 km away from us but it was worth the hassle. You got to meet the people behind the games and you found minis you don’t find if you are limited to Internet search sites. (Welcome to East Frisia) We found inspiration and we took some ideas and a lot of plastic home with us. I keep you informed what’ll happen with it. Cheers!

Ein Gedanke zu “Konventionen über Conventionen

  1. Long time reader, first time commenter — so, thought I’d drop a comment..
    — and at the same time ask for a favor.

Your wordpress site is very simplistic – hope you don’t mind me asking what theme
you’re using? (and don’t mind if I steal it? :P)

I just launched my small businesses site –also built in wordpress like
yours– but the theme slows (!) the site down quite
    a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for „royal cbd“
on Google (would appreciate any feedback)

Keep up the good work– and take care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!

    ~Justin
